Admissions Overview If you are considering applying to the masters program, you should have an undergraduate college degree, background in art and design, aptitude and preparation in computer science and mathematics, and a desire to creatively use digital visual technologies. Students with unusual talents or preparation are also encouraged to apply.
The deadline for submitting an application is January 5th for admission in the 2008 Fall semester. Applications for Spring admission are not accepted. Applicants to the MS in Visualization Sciences program should meet the university admission standards and as a result of academic, professional, and other experiences, demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in a field related to electronic visualization. Although the program admits students with outstanding ability in one such field, evidence of aptitude in more than one area will strengthen an application. Students must possess a baccalaureate degree in a field related to their intended course of study. Example majors include, but are not limited to, arts-related fields such as fine art, design, and architecture; technical fields such as computer science, mathematics and engineering; or a variety of other fields with a strong visual emphasis.
