Workshop Description
LiQin Tan will work with students on character design and 3D modeling.

"This workshop aims to provide a new and renewing digital experience for creative souls in contemporary art through conceptual development, 3D character design and large format digital prints.

In this digital age, digital technologies, telecommunications, and the digital arts are transforming contemporary culture and daily life environment. This workshop will expose participants to adapt "Digital-Nature" as the main concept with 3D character design, unitizing human spirit, natural beauty, and digital-prettiness through 3D simulation.

Each group is encouraged to set their own 3D modeling goals and decisions in terms of the emphasis from conceptual to cartoony, from cel to computer, from entertainment to experimental, and from natural to digital materials. In the end, however, they all should still be associated with the “Digital-Nature” concepts.

Our expectation is that our participants will leave the workshop with a greater understanding for the new creative ways of animation presentation and a renewed enthusiasm and appreciation for digital age art."
