Visualization Sciences Program Coordinator
At Texas A&M,
in the College of Architecture,
Dr. Parke participates as a member of the Visualization Sciences faculty
and is the Program Coordinator for the graduate program in Visualization
Sciences. Visualization Sciences is a multi-disciplinary program that
explores all aspects of electronic image making from the technical to the
artistic. He als co-directs the newly formed Visual Studies Unit
of the College.
He has interests in many aspects of computer based systems, computer graphics, and visualization. Recently his research has been in the area of conversational interfaces which combines a long standing interest in facial animation with the use of speech recognition and speech synthesis to support multi-modal user interfaces and low bandwidth virtual video conferencing. He is also Co-PI for a project developing innovative 'next-generation' immersive visualization systems.
