Open Source Software Lab
This workshop will cover several software packages, publicly available for down-load from the web, that are as effective tools for 3-D animation, digital painting and illustration, game development, and interactive art. Unlike their often pricey counterparts offered for sale by software publishers, these tools are free and supported by a community of users and developers. Collectively, they represent a cost effective way to introduce concepts and principles that are transferable to other commercial packages.
Video Creation
This workshop covers technical and aesthetic aspects of video creation from camera to screen, including storyboarding, basic camera operation, lighting, editing, soundtrack, and post-production. Through individual coaching and group critiques, participants will create videos for presentation on a large screen, on DVD, and for the web.
