Ann's research focuses on the advancement of computer graphics and scientific visualization through novel approaches for optimizing an individual's experience when creating, viewing and interacting with virtual spaces. She investigates new ways to exploit knowledge of human visual perception to produce high quality computer graphics and animations more efficiently. She is also interested in eye-tracking, her current research combines eye-tracking with subtle image-space modulations to involuntarily draw an observer's gaze to specific image locations. Other interests include distance perception, geometric simplification and character design.
