welcome!

my name is betsy nitsch and i'm currently a masters student in the visualization sciences program at texas a&m university.

this is my final year in the viz lab, so now it's time to look for a job or internship! although i've dabbled in almost all aspects of the cg pipeline, i am most interested in pursuing a career as a modeling or shading artist. if you'd like to take a look at my work, here's what you need to see:

resume (pdf).
demo reel (mov).
breakdown (pdf).

you can also find more examples of my work right here, so please look around!

some more about me: i'm from spring (practically houston), texas and (except for a semester studying abroad) i've lived in texas my whole life. i have a bachelors degree in environmental design, but opted to pursue the visual studies option because i was sick of getting glue in my hair when i was making models (and, of course, i knew i wanted to apply to the viz lab later on). when (and if) i have spare time, i enjoy drawing and painting, knitting, cooking (especially baking), reading, and watching movies (classic, foreign, animated, pretty much everything). i also love traveling (but not flying), (almost) all art and architecture, kinder überraschung, the band travis, going to museums, and talking on the phone. recently, i've become pretty interested in origami (see thesis).
