BBC News Covers Faculty Work Displayed at SIGGRAPH 2008![]() BBC News reports on the collaborative work done by Fred Parke, and Carol LaFayette. Those who visited the New Technology exhibit space at SIGGRAPH this year had the opportunity to experience Atta. Produced by Carol LaFayette, the Atta project mapped tunnels and chambers of a vast ant colony. An 8x8 meter Ground Penetrating Radar scan was translated into polygons, resulting in a model that can be viewed on an immersive visualization system.

Chosen from hundreds of submissions from all over the world, Goobees was presented in the new Nokia Theater to an international audience of CG professionals.
